Statement of Talisay Mayor Neil Lizares on COVID-19 on Patient Nos. 9 to 14
July 21, 2020
It is with deep sadness that I share this update to all of you today. Talisay City has Patient Nos. 9 to 14
Patient No. 9 is one of the bikers who were previously reported to be Covid-19 positive but his test result came out late. He continues to be asymptomatic and is now in the process of healing at the quarantine facility.
Patient No. 10 is a 34-year-old female. The wife of one of the bikers who were previously reported as Covid-19 positive.
Patient No. 11 is a 7-year-old boy. He is the son of Patient No. 10.
Patient No. 12 is a 17-year-old female. She is a house helper of one of the bikers who previously tested positive.
Parient No. 13 and 14 are OFWs. Both were at the quarantine facility in Bacolod City (OWWA registered facility)
Patient No. 9 to 12 (all from AVIDA Village Subdivision) were already brought to the E.B. Magalona healing facility and will undergo a 14-day quarantine while thereat. All of the patients are asymptomatic as of this announcement.
I am reminding you once again to practice the three most important rules during this pandemic: proper handwashing, proper wearing of your facemasks, and strict social distancing. Let us make these three a part of our routine. Let this sad news today be a reminder that we have to do our part in solving this pandemic. Let us heal as one.
