Mayor Neil Lizares III meets DE Jaime SJ. Javellana, District Engineer, Negros Occidental First District Engineering Office of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Bacolod City today.

In a show of strong partnership, Mayor Lizares and DE Javellana sign the Certificates of Turnover and Acceptance for 2 projects involving the construction of the Bacolod-Silay Access Road (Traffic Lights at Jcts. BASAAR and Barangay Efigenio E. Lizares and the Ruins) Talisay section.

Also discussed are future DPWH plans for Talisay in the pipeline including road concreting and widening, streetlighting and other infrastructure build ups.

Mayor Neil believes that a strong LGU partnership with the government national agencies will go a long way in bringing social services to every Talisaynon, continue improvement of the peace and order and cultivate an environment conducive for business and investment in Talisay City.

Also in attendance from the DPWH Negros Occidental First District Engineering Office are Engr. Herminio A Herida, Assistant Planning Engineer and Engr. Jonel P. Novia, Engineer 1, Talisay City Administrator Atty. Jonathan Ealdama, Assistant City Administrator Ismael Penado and Community Affairs Officer Marlyn Simondo.
