Talisay City, Negros Occidental: Committed to Excellence in Local Governance
Strengthening Our Edge for a 4th SGLG Award

Mayor Neil Lizares and Vice Mayor Nic Jalandoni, together with the Talisay City SGLG Innovative Team, are in full force as they prepare for the 2025 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Assessment.
In a one-day pre-assessment activity held on March 21 at the SP Session Hall, the team collaborated with governance experts Maria Nove Mejica (Cluster Head, Cluster II/LGOO VII), Melanie Dimco (LGOO VI), and Jose Simeon C. Sindingan (LGOO VI) to refine strategies and ensure Talisay continues to uphold the highest standards of governance.

This effort goes beyond winning an award—it’s about reaffirming that good governance is the foundation of #Gwapongaserbisyo. Through every program, project, and initiative, Talisay City remains committed to providing transparent, efficient, and people-centered public service.
With unwavering dedication, we set our sights on our 4th SGLG Award. Padayon, Talisay!
