New Talisay Fire Station Heats Up, 19 Million Pesos Building Soon To Rise

Mayor Neil Lizares III is in the forefront of the planned transfer and construction of the new two-story Talisay Fire Station which is gaining ground with the site inspection and visit conducted by Engr. Josephine Barredo of the Infrastructure Division of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region VI happening this afternoon.

After breaking ground last November 2016, today’s site inspection is coordinated with the Talisay Bureau of Fire Protection with Fire Senior Inspector Jenny Mae Masip and members of her firemen in-uniform in attendance and assiting in the site survey.

Sitting soon on a 1,000 sqm. lot situated at the rear portion of the City Hall Building, the Php 19 million pesos fully furnished, centralized air conditioned fire station is an all expense paid by the national government thru the BFP with Talisay City providing its counterpart by donating the real estate where the new building is to be erected.

Also present is Executive Assistant Jerray Bagtas to meet the Officers and the fiery Men and Women of the BFP.

With the transfer of the modern Talisay Fire Station to its new home from the current fire station located in the old City Hall grounds, Mayor Neil is more confident that Talisaynons can now feel a whole lot safer and secure with the modern and improved basic services being implemented in Talisay City.
