City of Talisay, Mayor Neil E. Lizares III Celebrate 39th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week
INSPIRED BY THE SUCCESS OF THE SENIOR CITIZEN'S ALLOWANCE, MAYOR NEIL LIZARES INTENDS TO EXTEND THE SAME BENEFITS TO THE CITY'S PERSONS-WITH-DISABILITY (PWD) AMOUNTING TO 1.6 MILLION PESOS

Mayor Neil E. Lizares III led the celebration of the 39th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week at the Talisay Public Plaza with the theme "Karapatan at Prebelihiyo ng Maykapansanan: Isakatuparan at Ipaglaban!"

Organized by the City of Talisay's Social Welfare and Development Office, the City's differently-abled citizens cheered to Mayor Neil's announcement of a proposed 450 peso quarterly allowance for the City's 850 registered PWD's or a total budget of 1.6 million pesos to be allocated for this endeavor starting January 2018.

Lizares added that if time and resources permits, the distribution of PWD allowances may start as early as the third quarter of this year.
