OWWA Bacolod Representative Jonelyn S. Alicaya turned over Cash assistance to 16 distressed and with unfinished contract abroad Talisay Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW). Mrs. Sally Barrios of the Talisay OFW Office facilitated the release of the financial assistance amounting to P20, 000.00 from the office of the Overseas Workers Welfare Association. Said program of the OWWA tagged as "Balik Pinas- Balik Hanap Buhay", a national program of the Duterte administration.

The turnover of the said financial aid was held at the City Mayor’s Office with City Mayor Neil Lizares awarding the checks to the beneficiaries. Said amount will be used by the beneficiaries as a startup capital for their businesses.
