4th Himos ni Kulas opens, showcases Talisay delicacies

The 4th Himos ni Kulas Food Festival, a celebration of Talisay’s rich culinary heritage, opened at the San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish Church grounds in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, on Friday, Sept. 6.
The food festival, which features heirloom dishes and delicacies crafted by the city’s new generation of food experts, is part of the ongoing 25th Minulu-an Festival of Talisay City that runs until Tuesday, September 10.

They were joined by Negros Occidental Board Member Manuel Frederick Ko, Talisay Vice Mayor Jose Nicolas Jalandoni III, Rowena Lizares – Angels’ Wings Foundation president and wife of the mayor, and Dr. Rodolfo Patiño – Pasidungog Foundation Inc. president.
Every year the food festival gets bigger and better, the Talisay mayor said.
The governor, who congratulated the Talisay officials for the staging their fourth food festival, stressed the importance of food tourism as a come on for tourists to visit a place.*
