5 Talisay Civic Society Organizations Received Financial Assistance from DSWD-Sustainable Livelihood Program
MAYOR NEIL LIZARES expresses gratitude to the Department of Social Welfare and Development Provincial Office, for extending assistance to the city's 5 Civil Society Organizations through its Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) under the DSWD - Sustainable Livelihood Program together with their partner agencies; the Pamana Project, TESDA and CDA.
The Tambara Agricultural Farmers Association with with 31 members received Php300K for their rice and feeds retailing project, with partner agency the Pamana Project.
With CDA as partner agency, Hacienda Nacab Workers Association with 27 beneficiaries received Php405K for their community store project and the Casa Rice Retailers Association with 21 members received Php315K for their rice retailing Project.
Talisay Organic Farm Workers Association with 25 members was awarded Php375K for their Vegetable Production project and the Talisay Eatery Association composed of 25 carinderia owners also received Php375K for their carinderia business with TESDA as partner agency.
In attendance during the turnover of checks are Carlo Dioso, Joanna Las Piñas and Madan Punzalan of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office with Michelle Pepino of the DSWD-SLP. Also present are Talisay CSWDO Head, Dionela Madrona, GSO Officer, Archibald Tuvilla, Jr. Community Affairs Officer, Marlyn Simondo and Juvenile Madrona of the City Mayor's Office.
