Progress Report Presentation
On June 28, 2024, the City of Talisay Economic Development and Investment and Promotions Office (CTEIPO) presented a progress report on its LED Project, Balay Kalubihan sa Talisay: Moving Towards Sustainable Agri-Tourism Initiative. This presentation took place at the Goldberry Lite Hotel in Iloilo City.
Who Was There?
Mr. Ismael Penado, the head of CTEIPO, shared the progress with important people from DILG Region VI and national government agencies. These agencies included the Department of Tourism VI, Department of Trade and Industry VI, Department of Science and Technology VI, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority VI.
What Has Been Done So Far?
The Balay Kalubihan project has been very active. They have held several training sessions to teach people important skills. These trainings covered topics like product safety, coconut farm management, and how to be competitive in the market.
Future Plans
The Balay Kalubihan team plans to visit an agri-tourism site to learn the best practices. This will help them ensure that their project is economically viable and uses effective practices. Mayor Neil Lizares and the Balay Kalubihan team are committed to making the project even better in the future. This project shows their collective vision for a sustainable future.
