City of Talisay, Mayor Lizares III - August 7, 2017 Journal
August 7, the First Monday of the month. After the flag raising ceremony, Mayor Neil Lizares wasted no time and started his first day of the week rolling.
The first order of the day was a courtesy call paid by Mr. Tadashi Takeuchi, a Japanesse national married to Ella Casilad, a Talisaynon from Barangay Concepcion. They have been living in Talisay for 13 years and presently reside at St. Paul Village here in Talisay. Mr. Takeuchi plan to broker and bring in vehicles like ambulance and firetrucks from Japan. Indeed, a very good news for the City of Talisay.
Next order for the day included visits from Mr.Jerick Chan, a friend and an ardent fan of Mayor Neil, who is back in town for a vacation from his nursing job in the Middle East. Also, Mr. Jose "Cugie" N. Loarca, Consultant of the Alumni Jubillarian Affairs, Alumni Relations Office of the University of St. La Salle, both Mr. Chan and Loarca dropped by for a courtesy call early on the day.
Third order, Madame Rosemary D. Ledesma of Don Simplicio Lizares Elementary School and Sir Albert Loreno of Habitat Elementary School also had a short talk with Mayor Neil. Both presented their request for the approval of the priority projects in their respective schools.
A meeting with Punong Barangay Paul de Oca of Concepcion together with SPM Bogs Malan followe in relation to the proposed sanitary landfill in the said barangay. To settle and to properly informe the people of Next, Barangay Concepcion, an appointment was called between the barangay officials, CENRO Officer Mr. Warren Paduano and the technical working committee for the proposed sanitary landfill project in the area to further clarify misconceptions and explain the advantages and the benefits of the said project.
Next, a meeting with Market Supervisor John Tirthdas and the Engineering staff relative to the proposed repair of the roofings in the city public market. Status of the Street lights in the city was also tackled in the meeting.
A ceremony was scheduled with Officers of the newly accredited Civil Society Organization named RASTTODA (Ruins, Ayala, Santol,Tumpok Tryicycle Operators and Drivers Association taking their oath before Mayor Neil Lizares. The Mayor asked the support of the group for all the projects and programs of the #gwapongaserbisyo in his message to them.
The 39th Graduation Ceremony of the ICT beneficiaries of the city capped today's busy schedule. Another set of people to meet, meetings to call and appointments to attend in the coming days mean more programs and projects for all Talisaynons. All these for a progressive and more developed Talisay.
