City of Talisay along with the other cities and municipalities in the Province of Negros Occidental were given recognition and appreciation in the awarding ceremony of the 2017 Provincial Sandugo Award, yesterday (August 4, 2017) at SMX, Bacolod City.

Sandugo award is given to local government units and individuals in acknowledgment of their contributions and support to the Blood Donation Program of the Province through the Negros First Blood Center.

Talisay City Mayor Neil E. Lizares III, was awarded a Certificate of Apppreciation in recognition of his unwavering support and contribution to the said program. Excellence Award and Certificate of Recognition were given to Punong Baranagays Romulo Banhao of Barangay San Fernando, Noel Sayat of Barangay 1, Remo Persia of Barangay Zone 4 and Ricky Veraye of Barangay Bubog. Also awarded were the Top 3 Blood Galloners from the City of Talisay namely, Mr. Ernie Aquino, Richie Dizon and Randy Sevilla.

This year's theme is "Pagkilala kag Pagpasalamat" centers on giving gratitude and recognition to all the blood donors for their unwavering support to the program.
