City of Talisay Welcomes 5 DOLE-GIP Beneficiaries

City of Talisay welcomes its five Department of Labor and Employment - Government Internship Program (DOLE-GIP) beneficiaries who will be under 3 months of internship training in the different offices in the city government.

The DOLE - GIP in the City of Talisay is made possible through the efforts of the Office of 3rd District Representative Kiko Benitez in cooperation with the DOLE.

DOLE -GIP is a government run program that aims to provide internship opportunity to youth aged 18 to 30 years old who are in high school or technical or vocational institutes, college graduate or out - of school youth.

This program aims to open opportunities for its beneficiaries to pursue work in public service sector, both local and national government units and also serves as a training ground for future government employees honing them in becoming competitive and experienced workforce.

The beneficiaries will receive a non-taxable stipend, amounting to 75% of the highest existing minimum wage in the region.
