Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Talisay represented by City Mayor Neil Lizares and the Gawad Kalinga Foundation represented by its Provincial Director Roberto Magallona to further strengthen the partnership of both parties for the development and enhancement of the Gawad Kalinga community in Barangay Cabatangan.

The updated truce since it was first signed on 1998 between the Gawad Kalinga and the then City of Talisay Mayor, the late Anthony Lizares, will give authority to the GK Team to continue to oversee the whole community, empower the people and to ensure that GK legacy, values and principles continue to live.

Present during the signing are Amelo Lizares, GK Site Director, Talisay, Butch Villanueva of the GK Team, Executive Assistant for Housing and Resettlement, Atty. Boyet Maghari, Dan Tribaco and Ma. Lourdes De los Reyes, City Housing and Resettlement Board staff.
