Talisay City Hosts Distribution of Presidential Assistance of Php10K Each for El Niño-Affected Communities in the 3rd District and Provincial Distribution of Food Packs

Mayor Neil Lizares, together with Vice Mayor Nicolai Jalandoni, warmly welcome all the beneficiaries and guests to the distribution of Presidential Assistance for Farmers, Fisherfolk, and Families who were severely affected by the El Niño Phenomenon in District III, and also extend their heartfelt thanks to the national government for their vital support, especially towards the 62 Talisaynon farmer beneficiaries of this initiative.

Mayor Neil recognizes and emphasizes the importance of this assistance in helping the affected families recover and rebuild their lives.

The Province of Negros Occidental, under the leadership of Governor Bong Lacson, through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, facilitated the distribution of the financial support from the Presidential Assistance for Farmers, Fisherfolk, and Farm Family (PAFFF) to cooperatives and individuals who were severely impacted by the El Niño phenomenon. In addition, the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental also distributed food packs to all the beneficiaries.

This initiative aims to provide much-needed relief to those in the agriculture and fishery sectors whose livelihoods have been adversely affected. Hence, this event underscores the commitment of both local and national authorities to support and uplift communities in times of need.

Talisay City serves as the host for this significant event, held today, July 19, at the Talisay Gym, which will benefit a total of 472 individuals, each receiving Php10K, including 62 from Talisay City, 104 from Murcia, and 306 from EB Magalona.

In attendance are Chique Gonzales of PSWDO, EB Magalona, Vice Mayor Eric Matulac, SP Member Rolin Meliton, 3rd District Board Member Andrew Montelibano, SP Member William Malan, EB Magalona, Municipal Agriculturist Efren Garcia, Talisay City Agriculturist Katherine Day Gemotra, DA-APCO Negros Rammy Baylosis, Murcia Municipal Agriculturist Dennis Garzon, and OIC Provincial Agriculturist Dina Genzola.
