Mayor Neil Lizares and the City of Talisay join the 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) National Validation and submit to the national assessment team led by representatives from the DILG to include Mr. Tohammi M. Abas, LGOO- V, Mr. Ferdaussi Russ Abdullah, LGOO- V and Party, now happening at the Talisay Sangguniang Panlungsod Session Hall, Talisay City Hall. The SGLG national validation is conducted in Local Government Units that have passed the regional level of validation or deemed as ‘potential passers’ of the Seal. Data from the regional level of validation collected through the SGLG data capture forms (DCF) undergo another level of reevaluation in the national level.

The 10 areas of validation are:

1. Financial Sustainability and Administration;
2. Disaster Preparedness;
3. Social Protection and Sensitivity;
4. Health Compliance and Responsiveness;
5. Sustainable Education;
6. Business Friendliness and Competitiveness;
7. Safety Place and Order;
8. Environmental Management;
9. Tourism Heritage Development, Culture and Arts;
10. Youth Development.
