Talisay City beauty crowned Lin-ay sang Negros 2019

BACOLOD CITY -- Nineteen-year-old Roxanne Toleco of Talisay City won the coveted Lin-ay sang Negros 2019 title, besting 25 other candidates during the pageant night held at the Panaad Park and Stadium here Friday.

Asked during the final round why her city should be the next top destination in Negros Occidental, the crowd favorite said Talisay is not just a destination, but a home to its people, who are progressive and resilient.

Quick-witted Roxanne Toleco of Talisay City, whose advocacy on education and the community made her stand out, was crowned Lin-ay sang Negros at the jam-packed Panaad Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City, last night.

The 19-year-old psychology student of the University of St. La Salle bested 25 other candidates from the cities and towns of Negros Occidental during the coronation night. She was a crowd favorite as the audience screamed every time she took the stage.
