Talisay generates P71M in taxes in 2 months

THE City Government of Talisay has collected about P71 million in various taxes in the first two months of 2018, which is almost 17 percent higher compared to the figures for the same period in 2017.

Mayor Nilo Jesus Antonio “Neil” Lizares, who met with the officers of the Negros Press Club at his office in Talisay City Tuesday, March 13, reported that their local income from January to February last year was only about P61 million.

These people flew miles away from their homes just to visit and bring good news to GK Hope Village.

One hundred and sixty Talisaynons, 80 from Barangay Zone 10, and the remaining 80 from Barangay Zone 16, were chosen as beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers, or TUPAD program, a press release from the city said.

Ma. Victoria Diwata Borines, Sr. LEO/Livelihood focal person, DOLE- Negros Occidental Provincial Office, with Ricky Guzon, provincial administrative head of Abang Lingkod Partylist, were present during the awarding of checks worth P279,280 yesterday.

Mayor Neil Lizares Gives Out Financial Assistance to Twelve Talisaynons

Twelve Talisaynons whose houses have been demolished receive financial assistance from #gwapongaserbisyo. The beneficiaries are from Barangay Dos Hermanas, Barangay Zones 1 and 15.


A beneficiary receives her financial from Mayor Neil Lizares during the flag raising ceremony. Said beneficiary is one of the 12 Talisaynons whose houses have been demolished.

Mayor Neil Lizares Awards Cash Assistance to 30 Families from Barangay Efigenio

30 households receive their financial assistance for the electricity installation. A promised fulfilled by Mayor Neil Lizares.


Thanks to Mayor Neil's generosity. Thirty families get their metered paid by the #gwapongaserbisyo in the form of a cash assistance, as promised by Mayor Neil during the switch on ceremony in their area. Gone will be the dark nights and boring days for these families.
