Village and SK officials take oath

SOME 247 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials of Talisay City have taken their oath of office before Mayor Neil Lizares Tuesday, June 12, at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City.

Negros Occidental Third District Representative Alfredo Benitez graced the oath-taking ceremony along with Board Member Manuel Ko, other city officials, and Carmelo Orbista, head of the Department of the Interior and Local Government.

Pasidungog Foundation Keeping Talisay's Rich Culture, Tradition Alive

Mayor Neil Lizares III calls for the creation of the Pasidungog Foundation, a non-stock and non-profit organization in the advancement of our Talisaynon customs and traditions. The Hiligaynon or Visayan word ‘Pasidungog’ which means honor or exaltation is chosen as the name because at its core and essence, the Foundation is envisioned to advance the full-support, protection, keeping alive and promotion of our Talisaynon cultural values, customs and traditions and values.

Habitat For Humanity Brings Good Housing News to Talisay

A meeting took place in City Hall today between the representatives of Habitat for Humanity-Philippines and the City of Talisay's Office of Housing and Resettlement with Executive Assistant Atty. Boyet Maghari to discuss the proposed partnership of the foundation with the City for a housing project which will benefit an estimate of 13,000 informal settlers in Talisay.

Talisay Welcomes Police Students of PSSLC

City of Talisay welcomes police students of PSSLC (Public Safety Senior Leadership Course) Classes 01 and 02 of 2018. A total of 115 police students, 56 of whom are from class 01 and 59 from class 02, are here for their one week Enhance Community Immersion Program (ECIP) in the city with the theme: "Crime is Everybody's Concern and Public Safety is a Shared Responsibility". Representing Class 01-2018 is their President SPO3 Carlo Hofileña Frayco and SPO2 Al Ray Minerva for the Class 02-2018.
