Talisay City’s 1h Earnings Affirms Good Financial Standing, Already Hit 73% Of Annual Target

The official records released by the Office of the City Treasurer (CTO) of Talisay certified by City Treasurer Levi Doronila show a robust collection of income for the first half (1H) of 2018.
From January to June 2018, the CTO has already collected Php 110, 822,925.00 or an increase of 16.5% for the same period in 2017 or 73% of its annual local 2018 income target of Php 151,550,904.00.
The collection of taxes on Real Property contributed the most reaching Php 56,539,023.85, expanding by 31.2% for the 1H period supported by a strong growth of 20.5% in Current Property Tax to Php 44 million (M), 71.6% increase in Prior Year Real Property Tax to Php 7.9M and a 147.7% increase to Php 4.4M in Real Property Tax Penalties.
This is followed by collection coming from Business and Other Taxes reaching Php 42,632,567.29, an increase of 6.4% also for the same period. And finally, the income receipts from Regulatory Fees and Charges contributed Php 9,863,767.23 while Economic Enterprise contributed Php 2,787,566.63.
With a strong local economic activity contributing to the impressive growth in revenues, coupled with a 7.42% increase in Internal Revenue Allotment from Php236.7M in 1H 2017 to Php 254.2M in 1H 2018, Talisay City’s economy is poised to continue on its expansionary trajection with the local government’s ability to efficiently and timely implement its public investment programs right on track.
