DAR installs Talisay ARBs

The Department of Agrarian Reform-1 installed the 42 agrarian reform beneficiaries of two associations at Dos Hermanas in Talisay City yesterday.

The joint installation was preceded by the distribution of individual Certificates of Land Ownership Awards to 23 farmer-members of the Sta. Teresita Workers Development Corporation, and 19 of Carmen ARB Association.

Talisay City Jail Wins Best City Jail For Two Consecutive Quarters

Talisay City- For two consecutive quarter of the year 2016 and 2017, Talisay City Jail continue to make records when it got this 1st Quarter 2017 award as the 1st place Best City Jail for its eminent and extraordinary transformation and development while Jail Inspector Romeo J. Eyoy, Jail Warden, was awarded as Best City Jail Warden for the second time and Best Practice Award.

Mayor welcomes coastal road

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia yesterday welcomed the proposed construction of a coastal road traversing Bacolod, Talisay, Silay and Victorias cities and E.B. Magalona town in Negros Occidental.

Rep. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez (Neg. Occ., 3 rd District) and Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya filed a bill providing for the construction of the coastal road at the House of Representatives on March 13.

Lizares Bares Major Projects in Talisay

Talisay City - Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares yesterday bared major projects for Talisay City including plans for a 100-hectare reclamation project for city’s relocation site.
