For the second year in a row, Talisay City, once again home of this year’s CISV International Camp in Negros, hosted 72 youth delegates from 13 countries at the CICM Mission Seminary, Barangay Zone 15, Talisay.

Another Talisaynon in the name of Mia F. Manguilimotan of Barangay Matab-ang, this city made every Talisaynon proud. Thirty-eight (38) Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC) City of Talisay scholars under the expanded Scholar Para Sa Masa Program were awarded their scholarship claims in a simple and meaningful ceremony at the Mayor's conference room of the Talisay City Hall last saturday morning.

BARANGAYS ZONE 6 AND 7 FLOODING MET WITH QUICK RESPONSE FROM CITY AUTHORITIES

Due to the heavy rains and the accompanying high tide level this afternoon, an unexpected increase in the water level was experienced in Barangays Zone 6 and 7 specifically in the vicinity of the Talisay South Elementary School and some houses nearby the drainage areas of the affected barangays.

Mayor Neil Lizares III met this morning with Dr. Joy Gladys Guanzon, Talisay City Health Officer to map out his administrations priority to deliver basic vital health services to the Talisaynons.
