IN TALISAY, Lizares releases P375,000 in educational assistance
A total of P375,000 was released by the city government of Talisay as educational subsidy for 100 scholars from the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College, and 25 from the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas, for the second semester of school year 2018-2019, a press release from the city said.
The assistance aims to provide Talisaynon college students with equitable resources, sustainable assistance, and an improved access to quality education that will provide them opportunities in achieving their goals, which is one of the aims of the Expanded Scholarship Program of the #gwapongaserbisyo, the press release said.
Mayor Neil Lizares has allocated a sustainable amount of fund to provide for all the educational needs of Talisaynon scholars. In this program, scholars enjoy an on-time refund of their school miscellaneous expenses and are given educational subsidy of P3,000 every semester, the press release added.*
