THE City Government of Talisay in Negros Occidental is opening to investors its 1,800-hectare-coastal property for a reclamation project.
Mayor Nilo Jesus Antonio Neil Lizares said a group which he refused to divulge, is interested in developing the property from Barangay Zone 15 to Bubog.
He said the project will boost the economic situation in Talisay through a public-private partnership agreement. The city will get at least 30 percent share of the investors’ revenue. It will also help its community generate jobs.
He said the reclamation project plan was already presented during the Third District Strategic Planning in Tagaytay City last week.
Lizares also said part of the plan is to make a coastal road from Bredco Port in Bacolod City passing through the sea.
There will also be a four-island-development with a bridge component just like that in Macau," he said.
