Mayor Neil Lizares III Inaugurates P1.3M New Classroom in Magcorao Elementary School

PARTNERS FOR DEVELOPMENT. 200k pesos worth of school equipment, learning materials and a 1.3M pesos classroom building were turned over by Mayor Neil Lizares III, to Magcorao Elementary School in Barangay Katilingban.

Magcorao Elementary School is one of the farthest elementary schools in the city with a total of 314 enrolled students for this academic year 2019 -2020. A medium scale school with 200k pesos Special Development Fund Projects allocation received 1 complete set of Deskstop Computer, 1 unit Epson Projector, 1 Hanabishi Rice Cooker, 4 units Epson L120 Printer, 1 unit Epson L3110 Printer, 3 units door cabinets, 1 unit 50" Xenon TV and textbooks for Grades 1 to 6.


A pupil of Magcorao E.S. expresses her gratitude to Mayor Neil Lizares and city officials of the projects received by her school thru the School Development Fund Projects of the city.

Also inaugurated was a newly built classroom building worth 1.3M pesos , on top of the 200k pesos SDF Project allocation.


A total of 200K pesos worth of equipment and learning materials which inlude, 1 complete set Deskstop Computer, 1 unit Epson Projector, 1 unit Hanabishi Rice Cooker, 4 Units Epson L120 Printer, unit Epson L3110 Printer, 3 units Door Cabinet, 1 unit 50" Xenon TV, were turned over to Magcorao E.S. said request was part of the school's request from its 2018 SDF Projects allocation.

With the new classroom building, students' ratio will be toned down from 40 t0 24, thereby creating space and an environment more conducive for learning.


For this year, 2019, Mayor Neil Lizares has increased the amount of SDF Project allocation for schools in the city. 200K pesos from the previous 100K will be alloted to schools who fall into the small scake category. From 200K pesos, Medium Scale schools will now have 350K pesos fund and 500K for the Large Scale schools.

Aside from the mentioned projects, Mayor Neil Lizares also approved a number of projects which include the renovation of the Principal's Office, stage construction and extension of the school's covered court.
