Mayor Neil Lizares III together with the different Department Heads of the City of Talisay met with Metro Third Cong. Albee Benitez in a whole morning session that included reports, updates and a friendly discussion with Cong. Albee on anything and everything about Talisay.

With a quick Opening Remarks and Prayer done with which was led by Executive Assistant Frances Mae Llamas, the Supervising Officer for Tourism Mrs. Renea Ferrer gave the first report on the updates on tourism in Talisay, it’s present program and initiatives focusing on the proposed City of Talisay’s tourism road projects for the year 2018-2022.
This was followed by Arch. Jimuel Pilo of the Talisay Engineering Office who reported on the proposed rehabilitation and ‘greening’ of the Talisay Public Plaza including the installation of LED and solar lightings, concrete paving of Enrique Lizares St. and a jogging lane surrounding the public plaza, among others.

The last to give his report is the City Planning Development Office Head Mr. Marmelo Sausi who touched on the proposed Talisay priority infrastructure projects which included the construction of the Talisay City community hospital, a water system in Barangay Concepcion, Flood control programs in the city barangays and farm to market roads in the upland barangays.

For his part, Cong. Albee provided his inputs and suggestions and his vision in finding a balance between agriculture and tourism for the future development of Talisay.
Mayor Neil then thanked Cong. Albee for taking his time out to visit Talisay. He also thanked the attendance and full cooperation of the Department Heads in welcoming our beloved Cong. Albee.
