Talisay City once again will be hosting the 5th Edition of the Annual Ceres Cup 7-Aside Football Festival on May 19-20, 2018 with the Opening Ceremony to be held on May 19 at 8:00 AM, Negros FC North Football Field, across the Ayala North District, Talisay City.

Mayor Neil Lizares congratulates the organizer’s with this year's holding of this annual event foreseen to be participated in by numerous football teams from all over the country including the grassroots youth boosting the City’s bid to become a sport tourism destination in the country.

About 500 teams or a total of 6,000 players will be participating in this year's edition coming from Cities and Schools in Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, Davao and Negros Occidental, Talisay City included.

The Carlos Hilado Memorial State College, Sta. Maria and North Football Fields are the three venues that will be used for the events, all in Talisay City.

In line with this, the City will support in the logistic needs thru the Talisay Philippine National Police for security related matters, the Talisay Traffic Management Authority to ensure orderly traffic, the Talisay City Risk Reduction and Management Office, Radiant and City Health Offices for medical related and emergency needs of the participants during the games. Each venue will be provided by emergency vehicles in case of any unwanted incidents during the games.
