Mayor Neil Lizares is proud to present another recognition awarded to the City of Talisay, along with other LGUs in the region, for its compliance of the mandated Local Climate Change Action Plan for CY 2023.

The awarding ceremony was held at Smallvilee 21 Hotel, Mandurriao, Iloilo City, received by Talisay CDRRMO Head, EA Spyxe Gutierrez on November 25, 2022.

The Local Climate Change Action Plan or LCCAP is the action plan formulated by the LGUs to address climate change concerns. It focuses on both climate change adaptation and mitigation and describes how LGUs plan to respond to climate change and mainstream such into local development plans.

The LCCAP is made to lay out the city's preparations and on how we are able to adapt to climate change. Climate change is already occurring, and it is unavoidable. The LCCAP is designed to formulate programs and initiatives directed towards reducing the risk of climate change impacts to people, places and resources.
